Autoreninfo

Immanuel Wallerstein, 1930 in New York geboren, promovierte 1959 an der Columbia University. Er unterrichtete u.a. an der State University of New York und als Gastprofessor weltweit an weiteren Universitäten. Wallerstein ist Gründer des Fernand Braudel Center for the Study of Economies, Historical Systems, and Civilizations in New York und war mehrmals Directeur d ‚tudes associ‚ an der Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris.
