Mary Hartzell ist als gelernte Kindergärtnerin in der Elternberatung tätig. Seit mehr als 30 Jahren begleitet sie Kinder, Eltern, und Erzieher.Daniel J. Siegel ist Professor für Psychiatrie an der School of Medicine der Universität von Kalifornien in Los Angeles und Direktor des Mindsight Institute. Seit einem Vierteljahrhundert erforscht der Harvard-Absolvent Wege, Erkenntnisse der Hirnforschung therapeutisch nutzbar zu machen. Nach einer Reihe vielbeachteter Veröffentlichungen legt er mit Die Alchemie der Gefühle die eindrucksvolle Quintessenz seiner Arbeit vor. Er lebt mit seiner Frau und seinen zwei Kindern in Los Angeles.
