Mario Markus, Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of Dortmund, was born to German Jewish immigrants in Santiago de Chile in 1944. At the age of 20 he went to Heidelberg where he received his doctorate in Physics. 222 Juden verändern die Welt is his ninth book.

Mario Markus, emeritierter Professor für Physik an der Universität Dortmund, wurde 1944 als Sohn deutschjüdischer Einwanderer in Santiago de Chile geboren. Als 20-Jähriger ging er nach Heidelberg, wo er in Physik promovierte. Zuletzt war er Leiter einer Arbeitsgruppe am Dortmunder Max-Planck-Institut für molekulare Physiologie und veröffentlichte über 160 wissenschaftliche Artikel in internationalen Fachzeitschriften. 222 Juden verändern die Welt ist sein neuntes Buch.
