In modern times, journalism has indeed emerged as an enthralling domain in media. The journalist acts as a spokesman of mankind. Enhancing violence against journalists is a matter of thinking. Women journalists are at higher risk because they are female and in this patriarchal society women in the media, profession are increasingly targeted for their reporting. There is an urgent need to increase the Women representation in media communication- print, electronic, visuals, and audio to promote the portrayal of women in the media and society. Gender equality is the fundamental right for all- men, women, and transgender and the problem of gender discrimination must be addressed with strong commitments from governments, intergovernmental organizations, media organizations, the private sector, and more importantly, journalists themselves must raise their voices.
